Sculpture Directory 2

The following images were created by me, Bob Marzewski and all rights are held by me. They are here to be enjoyed, but I retain the exclusive right to sell them.
Chromed Wire
While at Sterling, I made several batches of wire sculptures which I had plated at a little plant in Ft Morgan. The guy worked his but off on my pieces but didn't charge enough for his time. They eventually went out of business, and I've yet to find a plater willing to spend as much time on preparing the pieces. (I really haven't looked that hard.)

Chrome Hemisphere
Made of a steel (?) embroidery hoop with thick copper longitude lines and continents of plate copper, chrome plated. One original, 2 copies that didn't plate nearly as well.

Have you every seen "the Prisoner" TV series? This is based on am icon in that old British show.

Neon Signs
During one of my last years of teaching, my schedule was such that I was able to leave fairly early in the afternoon. About the same time, a neon sign shop opened up in Loveland. Since I was looking for something new to learn, and I'd wanted to learn more about neon for some time, I went to the shop owner and convinced him to take some money to teach me how to make some signs. I probably spent a little over $1000 and made 5 signs-an eminently fair proposition for all the fun I had.

I was doing business as MTC Animation for a while in Colorado. This neon sign explains the acronym.

This was a tricky one.Behind the black plexiglass base is a ring of red neon that lights up the clear plastic 'electrons' and 'nuclues' from behind. Getting the smoothly eliptical rings right while they also had to cross over each other was a test of my skills.
