It is getting tough to lift and move the ball around. Time for a block and tackle.

This is about as complex as this ball prototype was going to get.

Not part of the ball project, I took a few moments out to make a stand for a glass project that I'm about to begin.

I took an early version of the ball to the Half Moon Beach burn (just to show-not burn), but to get it there, I had to lift it over the fence/wall. Knowing that I didn't want to repeat that effort and that future balls would only be harder to get out of the back yard, it is time to pause the ball effort to turn the fence into a set of gates leading right to where I store my trailer.

First step is to move the mountain of crap in the path.

Gates done. Now I need to reorganize the whole space to make enough working room and clear the path toward the new gates.

I could tell that the crystal snowflake version of the ball was getting more fragile as I added more branches. Imagine a tree that has a trunk the same width as all of its branches, and you can see the problem.

Aleady being planned in my head before the break, here is the core of the next prototype. Starting with such strong 'tree trunks' this ball structure should be much tougher.
