Molds Finished, Casting Begins
Viewport watching over mold parts. Mold sections were connected using plaster soaked towels on the outside.
Once connected, the mold seams and a lot of air bubble in the original mold are patched using more plaster. Mold details. A bit beyond the cheap cameras I was using.
The inside of the mold is coated with turtle wax; used as a release agent for the fiberglass to follow.
First couple of cats are of a 50/50 mix of bondo and fiberglass resins with catalysts for each. Wood supports added.
