Science at TVHS
Somewhere between 1987 and 1989, at some physics meeting, someone was
demonstrating a way of making standing waves in a soap film. I made my
own improved version soon after, but made the obvious improvement that
he hadn't seen-using a strobe light to stop the motions of the waves.
By changing the frequency of the sound pumped at the film, different
patterns could be generated. I wrote and submitted a paper about it, but didn't jump
through a sufficient number of hoops to actually get it published.
