The Competition |
Got to the "Safari" a little after 7 am |
As we were about to leave, a film crew from HBO joined us. They will be doing in the water interviews with several of the Titans that they've been following. |
Leaving the harbor and the last calm water we'll see for many hours. |
Packikng 900 horse power, the Safari can really move when the pedal is down. |
This Coast Guard ship almost ran into us telling us we couldn't be where we were headed. We didn't have our Titans of Mavericks flag showing we could be one of the 12 boats right up front and not part of the herd of other boats that had to cruise around in circles back behind a row of bouys. A half hour later, we got our flag and move to the front. |
