Burningman 2002:
Event Photos

I took a pile of throw away cameras for the playa. Cameras with moving parts are not a good idea when you live on a parking lot covered with talcum powder. Quality suffers, but I've never been able to capture images that feel close to what I was seeing at the time.

View down driveway into back yard. The Crow's Nest-part of my camp this year-has been built and awaits moving onto the trailer to be moved intact to the desert.

Moving big heavy things is best done slowly.

The big red ball-the beginnings of next year's project-arrived just before I left for bm 2002.

The tent for this year. Very big-not sure it would survive the playa. (Not sure if it did-may be too damaged to make it again next year.)

This is AFTER the 12' toy wheels that came with the trailer blew up well before I got to Sacramento. Even with new 13" wheels and tires, the trailer looks dangerously overloaded. (It was.)
